Better Lives Strategy

Its now a year since Housing with Care and Support first developed its Better Lives vision. The objective of our vision is to secure Better Lives for every individual who accesses Housing with Care and Support services - regardless of individual abilities or differences - and in accordance with individual needs and aspirations.

The Better Lives vision has driven us to look closely at how we deliver our services within Housing with Care and Support.

Over the past year we have looked at new and innovative ways to involve, consult and engage with all Service Users and have developed a much more Person Centred approach.

We have identified key individuals who have applied their time and talent to lead the various facets of Better Lives and Person Centred Services

Over the past year Service Users have been involved in Choosing Staff, Staff Induction, Support Planning and Quality Auditing. Service Users have also been involved in Gardening and Art activities – as well as having direct input with Strategy Days and other events

Our Better Lives vision will continue over the coming year and onwards.

We will be looking to lead all of our Person Centred Services forward from the firm foundations set in place over the last year.

We will continue to ensure that the key people are engaged and motivated in all of the different strands of Better Lives and Person Centred Services, and we will ensure that all Service Users are placed at the centre of all procedural and strategic development.
